Delivery & Governance
Although a national service, support will be delivered locally through a system of pods. Pods will serve distinct local authority areas, taking individual needs into account, while providing consistency of service across the country. A collection of organisations from the partnership will operate across each pod with a shared workforce identity and delivery approach.
Prison Pod & Wider Connections
Each pod, and locality within, will connect and work with the relevant statutory and voluntary agencies, recovery networks and the wider community. Collaboration between custody support across the prison estate and community-focused support will be maintained and strengthened across the country.
Pod example and wider connections
Successful reintegration and resettlement will be supported with clear pathways, agreed and planned collaboratively.
Support will be available for up to 12 months following release and will cease when agreed mutually with the person supported.
National Team
A dedicated central team hosted by Sacro, as lead partner organisation, will support operational delivery and strategic connections with partner organisations and the wider community. This genuinely collaborative approach, aligned with a robust arrangement of governance and management boards will provide direction and oversight of this unique, transformative service.
